This weekend a bunch of crazy photographers made an excursion to Figueroa Mountain to see the wildflowers. Our day was cool and mostly overcast, but by the afternoon the sun and the clouds were playing a game of dodge ball. Here the lupin carpets the floor of a small grove of pines. You can see some patches of California golden poppies on he hillside behind the grove. Due to the cool temperatures, all the poppies were closed up tight.
