Admiring the Art

Enjoying the Art

My friend Jerry and I were shooting around Beverly Hills and wandered into this art gallery. Even though we were dressed by bums (i.e. street photographers) they were very polite to us and even gave us some bottles of water. While I was admiring the art of Dali, Picasso, and Miro, Jerry struck up a conversation with one of the Gallery art reps. Turned out he needed a head shot and he had two photographers at his ready. After the posed portraits were done, I turned around and noticed he had used the bronze statue to hang his coat.

I’m very excited about the opening of the Conejo Valley 2010 Photo and Digital show this coming weekend at the Thousand Oaks Community Gallery. This is the Gallery space just next to the Newbury Park Library on Borchard and Michael Drive. I brought my pics in yesterday and I can not believe the level of images. It is simply stunning. I want to thank Judy Koenig for helping me with the framing and matting of my work.

I’ll also be sitting the Gallery on Sunday June 20th from 2 p.m. till 5 p.m. See you there!!

The Gallery Opening That Didn’t

There were some issues with the opening of this gallery. They guy turned out to be a flake. There is a long and sordid story but the good news it that I did get to show these photos at the real Untitled (Gallery) later in September.

Opening Reception August 23 at 8:00pm

5472 Wilshire Blvd.

I have been invited to hang 3 photos at a new gallery in the Miracle Mile area. I decided on three images from my Los Angeles, Yesterday’s Places Today set. They will be cropped 11×14 and mounted in 16×20 mats.
