End of the Season by I Nancy, on Flickr
This weekend I’m working through some older images that I just never got around to doing a full edit. It is funny how images that sometimes don’t make a big impression on you just knock you down later.
This image was taken about halfway through a decently difficult hike on a rather warm day summer day. This was at the top of the hill and by now we were all kind of overheated. I was conscious enough to appreciate the opportunity to get the yucca so close to the trail but the day was so draining that I guess I really didn’t have the appeal to edit the images. So this image just sat there patiently waiting for me to have a few minutes of inspiration.
It is still summer here in the southwest and I’m not sure this scene has changed much in the last month. Next spring I’d like to get these yuccas in full bloom.
