After several weeks of too much work and not enough play (well, except for my camera phone portraits), I took the Canon XT out for a metro ride to Union Station and China Town. I spent most of the day shooting with the 10-22 mm (that’d be 16-35mm on the XT).
I have never been to Union Station by metro before. We drove to the North Hollywood station at Lankershiem and Chandler, then took the Red Line into Union Station. We walked the station for a while and then headed one stop on the Gold line into China Town (more on China Town later).
This is the entrance to the Red Line – it is even more spacious than the train station itself. I would have loved to stand there all day with a tripod and just shoot the people walking by.
